Options allow for chime on the hour, the half hour or the quarter hour. Additionally, if the "Chime the Hour" option is active, Chimer will repeat the chime for the count of the hour. Minimizing Chimer's use of system's resources was a prime concern during development. While running, Chimer uses about 15k of memory and less than 1% of Window's resources. CPU usage is also extremely low - only a few ticks of the clock here and there - and Chimer always yields to other programs. Chimer's only requirement is a system with audio capability. Without a sound board Windows would probably just sound a beep from the system speaker. Chimer has not been tested using the speaker driver provided by Microsoft. Documentation: CHIMER.WRI
